Application

process.

We believe the recruitment and selection process should be a two-way street. It is an opportunity for us to learn about you, your experience, and your motivations. It is also an opportunity for you to research the relevant brand to ensure that both parties make good decisions.

Our recruitment process will vary depending on the role you have applied for and which brand and division the role belongs to, but here is a general overview of what you can expect.

You can search and apply for roles, as well as register your interest for future vacancies. If you cannot find a role that suits your requirements, please register using the “Talent Community – Sign Up” link and click on “Join our Talent Community”.

We are always on the lookout for top talent to join the brands we work with.

Before you can apply for a role you will need to “Register”.

Registering includes setting up a username (your email address) and password. You can reset your password by clicking “Forgot Your Password?” and answering your security questions. Please read the Privacy Statement carefully for more information on how we handle your information.

Browse roles currently available by clicking on “Find Jobs”. If you see a role of interest, you can apply by clicking “Apply for Job” – located at the bottom of the page. You can search for specific roles by using the “Filter” option and further search by job sector and location.

You will then be required to “Complete the Application”. Complete your personal and contact information, answer a few basic screening questions and then update your profile to include other relevant information. First impressions count, so ensure your CV is up-to-date and highlights skills and experience relevant to the opportunity for which you are applying. This will give you the best chance of being shortlisted for the next stage.

You can monitor the roles you have applied for at any time through “My Applications”.

Your resume will be reviewed by our internal Talent Acquisition team and applicants will be contacted for a brief telephone interview. Applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to attend an interview.

This is an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to obtain more information about us, and the brands we work with, plus to discuss the role you have applied for. Interviews will take place with a representative from the NEX HR team, the brand business unit manager, the brand hiring manager, or a combination of decision makers.

We may utilise behavioural interview questions, which are designed to get you to talk about how you have responded to or handled specific situations or events in the past.

Depending on which role you have applied for, you may be asked to complete an assessment task. This is to ensure our recruitment process is accurate, objective and consistent. You may also be asked to present or analyse information, complete an online assessment, or take part in a scenario or presentation task for applicable roles.

We believe we get the best outcomes when our recruitment process is consistent and structured. Ensuring a thorough recruitment process is important to us. As a result, all employees will be required to submit evidence of full working rights in Australia, and reference checks will be conducted for all roles. Some roles will require background checks and pre-employment medicals. Further details of this will be explained to you during the recruitment process.

Whether you apply for a vacancy or register your profile to be considered for future vacancies, you will be providing NEX Building Group with confidential information about yourself. We are committed to managing your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and you will have access to view, edit, update or even remove your profile.

By maintaining an up-to-date record on our database, you can choose to be kept informed of vacancies that are relevant to your preferences and skills.

Applicants must fulfil local residency, citizenship, or visa requirements to live and work in Australia.

If you are successful in obtaining a role with NEX Building Group or a business that we support, you will be required to submit evidence of your working rights along with other tax declaration, superannuation and banking details for payroll purposes.

If you’re identified as our preferred candidate, we will provide you with this exciting news over the phone, so we can confirm key details, including start date and remuneration. If you’re unsuccessful on that occasion, you will be notified in writing or verbally, depending on the stage of the process.

If you have questions regarding your application at any stage, please email careers@nexbg.com.au
